MyChillPills - Mental Health for the Masses

Ok so i've been feeling really positive these last few weeks or so. I've been remebering to take my medication and have been eating healthier and getting lots fo exercise which has made me feel great.

I've not been feeling particularly down and i feel like i'm finally getting my life back.

However these past couple of weeks i've noticed a new problem. I'm starting to feel really bad in crowded, busy situations.
We went shopping a couple of weeks ago and the supermarket was really busy, i suddenly felt like i couldn't cope and got really stressed and it has happened a few more times when town has been busy etc.

Is this linked to my depression or could it be a side affect of my medication? (citalopram) or is it just something new?

This could be linked to your depression, it may also be linked to the fact that when you were depressed, you did not go out in public often, or something like that. Now that you allow yourself to go out, since you are feeling really good, this may be your inner fears' way of reminding you.

However, this may not be the case, and I would recommend asking your doctor about this.

Although I do not usually have panic attacks in crowds, there were times that I did. Like Renata said, it usually happens after spending a lot of time at home, after an outbreak of depression, of something similar. all of it come in with a bang, and I felt that I had to get away from there, as soon as possible.
